I shared my fall home tour last week, so today I thought I would give you some fall porch decorating ideas. I adore fall porches and was so excited to decorate ours this year. Our porch used to be painted red and green, and this year was the first time I was able to decorate it in its new gray and blue color palette.

When decorating my outdoor spaces, sometimes I like to create a completely different look and feel than what I have going on inside the home. I'll often do this at Christmastime. However, this year I really wanted the front porch to feel like a cohesive extension of the interior. I kept the fall colors and textures the same out here but simply added more blues to accentuate the blue on my front door and porch ceiling.

Although I love traditional fall colors, I like to vary my decorating from year to year. Dried limelight hydrangeas and pumpkins in shades of blues and creams are a great way to add non-traditional fall colors to your space.

I used a combination of real blue cinderella pumpkins, a few real but painted pumpkins, and a few painted but faux pumpkins. Don't be afraid to mix your real pumpkins with your faux.

My grapevine hydrangea wreath took around 5 minutes to create! Simply stick the woody stems of your dried hydrangeas into the grapevine and continue until satisfied. I deliberately created asmileof hydrangeas, leaving some of the grapevine wreath exposed. I just liked the way it looked. Above my door, I placed faux painted pumpkins and attached them to the ledge with some painter's tape. I love the tiny but mighty details of decorating!

White mums are fluffy and beautiful! I think they make an excellent complement to dried hydrangeas.

I haven't decorated with corn shocks in several years and am so glad that I splurged on them this year! They add so much texture and interest to a fall porch. I'm not going to lie though. Those cute dried corncobs are going to have to come off the stalks. I give it a day before squirrels are attacking my decorations! Our city squirrels are like the Rats of NIMH. I swear they are possessed. You don't want anything that might further attract them to your home!
